Meet Nicole

Certified Speech & Language Pathologist

Nicole Herring, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed and board-certified speech-language pathologist and is the founder and owner of Herring Speech Therapy, PLLC. She is an experienced clinician who has been practicing speech-language therapy for over ten years. She is an experienced clinician who has treated a wide variety of pathologies, severities, ages and has worked in a variety of settings, including preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, private practices, and home health. Her specialty areas include receptive and expressive language disorders/delays, articulation or speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders (stuttering), autism spectrum disorder, and early intervention.

​Nicole graduated from the University of Toledo with an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and earned her master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University. Following her graduation, Nicole worked for multiple years as a speech-language pathologist in the public schools.  There in addition to providing a variety of services for children preschool through middle school ages she was also part of team specializing in teaching children on the autism spectrum. There she developed her passion for working with children of all ages and abilities.

Nicole believes in open communication where the families she serves can ask questions, talk about their concerns, and feel empowered with skills and strategies to support their children at home. By following the child's lead, Nicole provides therapy that is both motivating and effective. She is passionate about helping children find their voice and become confident communicators!

In her free time, Nicole spends time with her husband, four boys, and her goldendoodle pup. She enjoys reading, spending time outside, and “making memories” with her family.
